 Before anything else, allow us to tom-tom about ourselves. The Looney Club is India’s first ever Cartoon and Comic Lover’s Club. Issued in public interest by yours truly Never Grow Up™. Remember the time when the only person you loved was Batman or Chacha Chaudhary. Or the magician that you were always in awe of was Mandrake. And who could forget He-man with his sidekicks or Superman kickin @## with the Justice League. Aaahhh….those days were magical, right? Here’s the perfect place to revive those precious moments. Discuss, blabber, post links about those fascinating worlds we inhabited back then. It’s all about shedding your inhibitions (if you like Tarzan, then your clothes too) and going back to being a kid.
Being Looney cannot be defined in a word... guess its cult thing...you are either Looney or you are not. No point denying it we say! In line with this thought, we are happy to announce The Official Looney Club Facebook Page.
Q: What can you expect?
A: To put it simply... weekly news, reviews, updates, initiatives , features and ideas around comics and cartoons and pretty much everything in that gambit for your reading and viewing pleasure.
* Club Rules to be followed
You cannot be moved to tears or laugh your heart out when you look at a certain comic or cartoon especially in the kids section in a book store.
Kitchen utensils and other everyday objects should not become headgear and weapons. Towels or bed sheets should not become your cape.
You will not wear your underwear on the outside, however tempting it might be.
Your reactions should not be peppered with words like Bam!, Pow!, Plonk!, Splat!, Crash! so on and so forth.
You will not check out the kids’ section of major bookstores. You will not scream more than all of the kids together when Superhero movies hit the television or cinema screens.
You cannot attempt to fly by shouting ‘Shazaam!’ or ‘Up up and away” or jumping around in an unnatural manner.
Last but not the least, you will not follow any of the above rules.
