The Mission Education Initiative

The Mission Education programme run by the Smile Foundation is a national level programme which focuses on basic education for underprivileged children and youth. Through this programme non-formal education with the objective of mainstreaming children into the formal school education system is provided.

What they are seeking as an immediate need is child support @ Rs 2750/- per child. This amount can send one child to school for a whole year and actually covers components such as Teachers Salary, Learning Material, Uniforms, Stationary, Health Camps, Nutrition and Educational Tours. Go to think of it...it’s less than the price of a weekend Movie ticket or a medium sized pizza per month to bring a smile on a child’s face.

Contributions can only be made in the form of a crossed cheque drawn in the name of 'Smile Foundation'. For every five contributions we get, we at NGU will make one from our end as well.
